About these terms

These terms of use govern your access to and use of the GymCover website. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

General advice only

GymCover is a general insurance broker. Anything on this site is general advice or factual information only. It doesn’t take account of your objectives, financial situation or needs, and it isn’t a recommendation to buy any particular product.

Before deciding on a policy, read the insurer’s Product Disclosure Statement and consider whether the cover is right for you. A licensed broker is available if you’d like to talk it through.

Any price shown is an estimate based on the information provided and is not an offer of insurance. Cover only begins when it has been arranged and confirmed by the insurer, subject to the policy terms, and premiums, fees, taxes and any surcharges are shown to you before you pay.

Using the site

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it. For example, don’t attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with or disrupt the site, introduce malicious code, or scrape, copy or harvest content or data by automated means without our permission.

If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.

You’re responsible for giving us complete and accurate information when you request a quote or apply for cover. Insurance law places a duty on you to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation to the insurer; getting your answers right helps make sure your cover responds when you need it.

Intellectual property

The content on this site (including text, images, graphics, layout, logos and the GymCover name and branding) is owned by GymCover or its licensors and is protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own reference, but you can’t copy, reproduce, modify or reuse them for other purposes without our written permission.

Insurers & third-party links

The site may link to insurers and other third parties that we don’t control, including for documents like the PDS and policy wording. We provide those links for convenience; we’re not responsible for the content, products or practices of third-party sites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Availability & accuracy

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and information on the site may change without notice.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GymCover isn’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from reliance on general information provided on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited by law, it’s limited to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of doing so.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. For details on what we collect and how we use and share it, see our Privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the State or Territory in which GymCover operates. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
