PDS & policy wording

The Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and full policy wording are issued by the insurer shown on your quote and policy schedule, not by GymCover. They set out exactly what is and isn’t covered, the limits, excesses, conditions and exclusions that apply.

We make the relevant PDS and policy wording available to you before you buy and again with your policy documents. Please read them and consider whether the cover suits your objectives, financial situation and needs before deciding. You can ask us for a copy at any time.

Financial Services Guide (FSG)

GymCover is a general insurance broker. This guide explains the services we provide, how we’re paid, and how to contact us. We arrange general insurance for gyms and studios by dealing with insurers on your behalf.

How we’re paid: our commission is included in the premium and shown to you in the price breakdown before you pay, along with any broker fee, GST, stamp duty and premium-funding costs. There are no hidden loadings.

Any advice we provide is general advice only. It does not take account of your particular objectives, financial situation or needs.

Privacy

We collect the personal and business information you give us (and information needed to assess your risk) so we can quote, arrange and service your insurance. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We share your information with the insurers and, where relevant, premium funders needed to provide your cover, and with service providers who help us operate. We don’t sell your data. You can ask to access or correct the information we hold, or raise a privacy concern, using the contact details below.

Complaints

If something isn’t right, tell us. A real person will look into it. Contact us at hello@gymcover.com.au and we’ll acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it through our internal dispute resolution process.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may be able to refer the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), a free and independent external dispute resolution scheme. [AFCA membership details to be completed before launch.]
